Found an old thread at http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/sqlreportingservices/thread/D677D1A5-5025-47C1-A709-0215D50CE832 It Explains how to get a report parameter to default to blank but force the user to indicate either that he wants all to enter a parameter value or he wants the parameter to have no value so that all rows are returned then he enters a check in a checkbox labeled "null". Since the thread is from 2009 odds are no one is following it any more. So I am entering new thread to ask followup question. As specified it works just fine. One question though. Is there a way that the little checkbox labeled "null" could be labeled "choose all" ?Edward R. Joell MCSD MCDBA

Hi, You can't do it with check box.But i have other solution. In report-parameter properties->go in specify values-> In that give label "ChooseAll"->vales->select all values in drop down list.. Also you can set ChooseAll as default by selecting default value in properties.Regards, Amey

I believe, You can not change the text of NULL to change all. It is generated from the system. Please vote for answer if it helps you.

Already have a different solution. No way I could have a drop down that specified 1083 items for the user to select. So what I did I had a parameter that defaulted to "All DoDICs" Then I put a filter on the dataset for the field "DoDIC" that specified DoDIC =IIF(Parameters!dodic.value = "All DoDICs", Fields!DoDIC.Value, Parameters!dodic.value) However that was not my question. It would have been a much more elegant solution better adapted for non-computer savvy people if I could have had the "null" checkbox labeled "Choose All" jayeshonline how sure are you that this value for the label is system generated and can't be changed?
