SSIS 2008 r2 Send Mail email format
We have one system email address used to send all SSIS notifications for all ETL processes.
In SSIS 2005 the format for the From address was accepted:
"Billing" <admin@sanlam.co.za>
or
"Reports" <admin@sanlam.co.za>
This however seem to give a warning in SSIS 2008 r2.
Warning 1 Validation warning. Send Mail Task Send Mail Task: The address in the "From" line is malformed. It is either missing the "@" symbol or is not valid.
Is the format no longer valid? The From addess validation shoud be more flexable I feel.

Although SSIS provides a warning, your package will still use this Email Address format and the name in From will show "Billing" or "Reports".
I have tested this with this format in my test environment and I received an email with the correct From name.Jeff Wharton MSysDev (C.Sturt), MDbDsgnMgt (C.Sturt) MCT, MCPD, MCITP, MCDBA, MCSD, MCAD

Thanks for your reply Jeff.
I concur, I should have mentionded that the mail is sent successfull none the less.
I'm bussy migrating from 2005 to 2008 and whish to sort out any warnings along with the errors.
I needed to know if my email format was in an exceptable format?
If so, I feel that this should be a requirement or bug fix in 2008.
Where would one address this.
