I have question... when some one asks in interview "what are your roles?" then what we have to answer... like our regular day activities load monitoring, change request monitoring.. or creating SSIS packages using control flow, data flow tasks,
scheduling the packages, deploying the packages........ especially if the project is maintenance project............

The answer to this is normally the job posting description itself. But the question is what you are/was doing in your position. We do not know what position you are being interviewed for.
Normally a position in BI involves the development around SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and more. Some shops prefer to also let the developers maintain some routine tasks, I think your inquiry fits into the category of "open end questions".

A SSIS developer is an ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) developer. The career path is ETL development - the extraction, transformation and loading of data from source systems to destinations. SSIS is just a tool that helps your accomplish this.Francis, MCTS: BI 2008, MCITP: BI 2008 Stay Thirsty My Friends
