Hi all, i have a bar chart, and I would like to have major X axis tickmarks between each category (like the option in excel Format Axis / Axis Options / Position Axis : Between tick marks) to have a chart like this : | _ | | | _ | | | | | |__| |_|__| |__|___... How I can do that ? thanks in advance

Hi Phoenix75, Based on my testing, we can only set the Tick Marks between each category with keeping the original Tick Marks. Please refer to the steps below: 1. Right click the X axis and select Axis Properties… 2. In the Category Axis Properties window, select Major Tick Marks in the left list. 3. Specify the 0.5 to the dropdown list which labeled Interval. 4. We can also select Inside in the Position dropdown list, and then click OK. It's nearly that, but I have a tick marks even on the bar, and between bar . i will search for another solution (with the line style) how i can make this : if the interval mod 2 is integer, the line style is none else the line style is default ? i would like to show tick marks as defaut line style only when the 'interval' is 0,5, 1,5, 2,5 .... ? thanks best regards

Hi Phoenix75, I could understand that you want to display tick marks only between columns. However, since the tick mark interval is based on category group, I’m afraid we need keep tick marks on the bar. I was looking for something similar. I have a fairly simple x-axis... 12 months, but I wanted tick marks in between my month categories. As a work-around I did this: -Set major tick marks to Interval 1, with a white line colour (if your chart background is white) -Set minor tick marks to Interval 0.5, with a black line colour The majors will draw over top of the minors, giving you tick marks in between each month.
