SSRS Security Troubleshooting
I've got a client that has an existing SSRS 2005 setup that's never quite worked right (as in at all). Another person set it up (no longer there). The challenge I currently have is getting admin access to it. If I go to the Report site, I can see and run reports, but no "Properties" tab. I'm connecting with credentials that is a member of the local "Builtin\Administrators" group. If I connect to the SSRS server through Management Studio, I can't create/modify any of the Roles.Ok, so all that means (methinks) that the default security has been modified. My challenge is that I don't know why/how/or to what. Is there any relatively simple way to determine which users are set up with the appropriate rights? I've got Admin rights to the SQL side of this. Thanks!Bobme (at or something like that) RLCoppedge (place a dot here) com (e hither!)

Hi Bob,
May be try connecting to the Reporting Services Configuration Manager and select Execution Account and specify an account.
Open the browser using that account. And try to Run the
Report Manager URL.
It does the trick for me. Try it out!! :)- Kerobin
