SSRS remote config
Hi, When I try and add a new TFS project over the internet, I get the following error:
TF218027: The following reporting folder could not be created on the server that is running SQL Server Reporting Services: /TfsReports/Shaun_DefaultCollection. The report server is locate at http://shaun-svr-001/Reports_TFS_SQL. The error is: The remote
name could not be resolved: 'shaun-svr-001'. Verify that the path is correct and that you have sufficient permissions to create a folder on theat server, and then try again..
If I do it over my LAN then everything works fine - I only get this error when I add a new project to TFS over the internet.
I'm presuming that something needs to be configured for remote access but not sure what to do.
Please advise.
Many thanks,
Shaun

Hi Shaun,
From you description, I noticed the error only occurs when add a new TFS project over the Internet. This might be caused that the default authentication mechanism of Reporting Services
is Windows integrated security.
Generally speaking, Reporting Services is not expressly designed for extranet or Internet scenarios. Therefore, I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further
look at this issue. This might be some time delay.
Appreciate your patience and understanding.

Can you try to disable the DisableLoopbackCheck and see if that helps ?
To set the DisableLoopbackCheck registry key, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Right-click Lsa, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type DisableLoopbackCheck, and then press ENTER.
Right-click DisableLoopbackCheck, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

If that does not help then try adding an entry in HOSTS file to map IP address of your TFS server to its name.
