Hi, I have problems when configuring MOSS SSP. the problem is that when I need to create a new SSP, I can't select a Web application in the combobox. I try to create the web application first, no way! I try to create the it with the link "create a new web application" but no item appear in the combobox. Can anybody help me? thanks P Marchot

You need to be a little more detailed on what you are seeing error wise when you try to create a new web application or creating a new SSP. have you checked the event viewer on your SharePoint server or any of the SharePoint logs for possible information on what could be causing this? I have the same problem On the new SSP page, I click the "create a new web application" After I finish I can't see the new web application in the compo list. So I can't select it.

Hi, I faced the same issue in SP 2007... Solution [as per me ]- While creating a New Web Application, go to Application Pool section, under Select a security account for this application pool instead of selecting Predefined option select Configurable option and enter Username/Password. Click OK to create the Web Application. This newly created Web Application should appear in Combo List while creating SSP. Regards, Avinash | avinashkt.blogspot.com
