Hi everybody i get the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when i try to add a new webpart . any suggestions/links whould be appreciated

Chris, That error can be cause by several things, the most basic of which is there is a variable that isn't set that the code is trying to call. Is this a home grown webpart or was it downloaded from MS or 3 party provider? Kevin
