Does updating copied documents work if the copied document is in a library where Require Check Out is turned on? I have a WSS 3.0 MOSS 2007 environment. If I use "Send To" to send a copy of a document to another location, a document library in the same site or any other site and then update the original document and update the copies, it work if the copies are in document libraries that do NOT have Require Check Out turned on. If the copies are in a document library where Require Check Out is turned on the update errors and the log file say that the copied document is not checked out. Is this "normal" behaviour and is there a way to fix it? Thanks for any help. Chris.

This is normal behavior. The synch is failing because it doesn't forcibly checkout the document from a library that requires checkout. As a result, copies in these libraries will not synch properly. I trust that answers your question... Thanks C http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog
