What does this mean?

I allready restarted the AppCachingService:

Restart-Service AppFabricCachingService

it starts, stays on running for 2-4mins, than it's stopped again. Errors keep going.

So i tried to remove and readd the service:

Remove-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance
Add-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance

Stay's the same...

Disable and enable the distributed cache service in CA also dindt fix it.

Pls help me out!

Thx for the fast reply, but it's still broken...

i tried to remove appfabric from server and reinstall the cache service... ok.

I reconfigured it as new cache cluster with an sql table

than i used this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219613.aspx

"Repair a cache host"

so i removed my serviceinstance from SharePoint. and after this i used the add-spdistributedcacheserviceinstance to recreate it.

In PowerShell i'm getting this error:

PS C:\Users\myUser> Add-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance
Add-SPDistributedCacheServiceInstance : Could not load file or assembly
'Microsoft.ApplicationServer.Caching.Configuration, Version=1.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The
system cannot find the file specified.

  oundException
    + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell.SPCmdletAddDistribute
   dCacheServiceInstance

But the service is in the list of "services on server" again. but i cant provision it.

It seems that a file is missing in your system. Try to run SharePoint Product configuration wizard and try again!

Hm. it seems like i cant fix this issue so easy.....

I've tried now many times to reinstall appfabric 1.1 and recreate the cache-cluster... but without success.

Cluster is starting and after few minits host-status change fom up to unknow.

in sharepoint uls i keep getting the cluster-down error.

How can i make sure, sharepoint is using my fresh installed cache-cluster, instead try to get the old one?

Are there any "security" issus i need to keep in mind for the service?

If i restart the cluster or remove and add the service-instance, the service on the server is starting and running.

when i try to get-cachehost, i got status "unknown" and if i try to get-cache i recieve empty-host-column:

PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-Cache

So it seems, the host is not realy active in the cluster...

I used the farm-account to setup the appfabric, i added the farm-account to the "WindowsFabricAllowedUsers" group.

the config in registry looks "ok" for the provider:

SPDistributedCacheClusterProvider is the name

but the "default" key is empty. is this normal? in the SQL-Client-Provider, there is an exe file "c:\Program Files\AppFabric 1.1 for Windows Server\DistributedCache.SqlConfiguration.exe"

Anyone?
