I was working with several different MOSS 2007 servers in different infrastructures, raised up by different administrators. Everywhere there were problems with task list`s announcements. Sometime it works well for weeks but then it starts to miss some tasks, and then again everything is well. There is no pattern. At least i couldnt find one. So the major problem here is diagnostics. We tried to fix it by changing secondary factors (like email server changing, making new task lists etc), but with no positive effect. I thirst for any advice to patch this flaw up.

When you getting error, at that point did you see any entry in ULS logs or Event Viewer? What kind of error you see, is it simply stop sending the notices to user? thanks -wsSharePoint administrator, MCTS,MCITP

Hi, What is your meaning saying “were problems with task list`s announcements”? Tasks and announcements are different lists, which one is your exact meaning? If you use alerts to send emails to the users who should be responsible for the tasks, I think you should make sure the relevant timer jobs working fine. Hope it is helpful!Seven
