SharePoint Designer 2007.....When I highlight 1 word in a paragraph and click "Bold", the entire paragraph becomes bold. How do I only bold 1 word in a paragraph. I uninstalled and reinstalled Sharepoint Designer but it did not correct the problem. If this is the wrong forum, please direct me to the correct one.

You probably have "Style Application" set to Manual and Target Rule set to "New inline style". When this is on, SPD applies the style to the container tag (maybe a TD) instead of the selected text. Change this to"Auto" or "Auto Style". To change this: In the status bar at the bottom of SPD double click the "Style Application" box, or right click it and click "Mode".
