SharePoint Link goes to two different places
Here is some backround info... our main site is called mprod and we have another site collection called mprod/pmo. When we click on management content and struction from mprod/pmo we have a link in the upper left corner that says "Back to PMO" and this returns us back to the main site. If I go into PMO site settings and click on Content and Structure the link in the upper corner says Back to 'Home' and this returns us to mprod site settings. Is this normal? Shouldn't it return me to PMO?

Hi, As per your description mprod is the site collection and PMO is a subsite under mprod, right ? If you open manage content and structure from PMO do you get mprod listed on the top of the PMO ? If yes then this is the normal behavior. And if you open manage content and structure from mprod then do you get "back to mprod" option in the top left corner ? If yes then this is the normal behavior. And from PMO Site settings when you click on content and structure and in the top left corner it shows "Back to home" and when you click on that link it redirects to the Web Application. This is the normal behavior. hth Warm Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com/

"that says "Back to PMO" and this returns us back to the main site." I am assuming when you say main site, you are referring to the PMO homepage? From the sounds of it, PMO was created a s a sub site rather than a site collection. From the mprod site if you go to "View All Site Content" you should see the pmo site listed under sites at the bottom of that page. If that is the case then the PMO site is definitely a sub site residing under mprod and the behavior you are seeing is normal. If you want PMO in its own site collection, you will need to create it in Central Admin.Brandi Hager
