Hi Guys, I understand that SharePointworks well with Exchange for the setup of incoming and outgoing emails since both are from Microsoft. Our company uses Lotus Notes Mail.I already configuredOutgoing e-mail settings and Incoming e-mail settings under Central Administration> Operations. But when we tried to send email thru SharePoint, the user was unable to receive the email.Is there a special configuration to be made if we are using Lotus Notes instead of Exchange? Are there other settings that needs to be configured? Thanks.

Hello, I think, You should add the IP address of the Sharepoint server toDomino in the SMTP inbound controls menu ! After all the SharePoint will communicatewith the Domino via SMTP protokoll ! Bye Zoltan

yup Dejon.. as pzozi, pls check whether you MOSS server is allowed to send email using your Lotus SMTP server, this the additional thing we need to do other than the MOSS Server. This will solve your outgoing mail problem. Secondly for incoming email please tell in which domain your mail and moss servers are?? Are they in thae same domain or in different domains??????
