If the domain names, server names (SQL and SharePoint) and trusts remain the same you shouldn't have to do anything and SharePoint. If the domain name is changing then let us know, that's another story.Kris Wagner, MVP, MCITP, MCTS Twitter @sharepointkris Blog: http://www.sharepointkris.com/blog

Hi indunil, Regarding your questions, I’d like to answer them as below: 1. To plan a upgrading to Windows Server 2008, please use the following resource: Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/8519f859-7159-4dae-ba4c-8ed791c01be01033.mspx?mfr=true Guide for Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755199.aspx#BKMK_Supported 2. So far as I know, the direct upgrading from Widows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 is supported on Office Server 2007 host. For some known issue, please refer to: Known Issues When Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731003(WS.10).aspx (KB943605) The Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Search index may be corrupted when you upgrade Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;943605 3. We recommend you to back up the entire farm before the upgrading, in order to avoid any possible data loss. There is an article written for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, but still useful for Office SharePoint Server 2007: Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 with SP1 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc288690.aspx Hope this could help you. Regards.
