Sharepoint Auditor
Hi, Is there way to find out who enabled Site collection Auditing in the Sharepoint 2007? I have a situation, we dont want Site collection auditing enabled but someone is enabling it. So is there any ways find in the content database table? Thanks, Munna

SharePoint doesn't track things like who turned on auditing. So there is no way to find out that I'm aware of.Paul Stork SharePoint Server MVP Senior Solutions Architect: BlueChip Consulting Group Blog: http://dontpapanic.com/blog Twitter: Follow @pstork Please remember to mark your question as "answered" if this solves your problem.

Hi Munna, I have to agree with Paul in this instance, I don't know of any way to track this either. You can probably narrow it down to whoever has site admin or site collection rights but there's no OOB way to see who turned on the Audit settings. Querying the database directly would lead to your SharePoint environment being unsupported.Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/

The only thing you might be able to do is take a look at when the auditing started and try to match it up with any authentication messages in the logs or event viewer.Paul Turner http://redmanta.co.uk/blog Twitter: @RedMantaUK MCTS:WSS,MOSS,2010 MCITP:2010. Another way to find out would be to simply ask all of your administrators. If that doesn't work, keep changing it back. At some point someone will start asking who keeps turning it off ;) Jason Warren Infrastructure Specialist Habanero Consulting Group habaneroconsulting.com/blog
