Sharepoint Profile Images
Hello,
We've recently upgraded from Sharepoint2003 - 2007. A problem had appeared with the userprofile images. Sometimes the images are not resized correctly in the browser. I say "sometimes", because 3/4 of the time they will be sized correctly. The problem is happening on the profiles themselves, on the people search, and in the "site contact"webpart. It appears that some JScript is being used to resize the images (as on slower machines you can watch each picture being shrunk). Perhaps the function to do this is not always firing correctly when the pages are being loaded?
has anyone else encountered this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Olly

We are currently experiencing the same problem - have you found a workaround?

Ah brilliant!
I gave this a try and there is a marked improvment on the way the images display. In the end though I increased the timeout to 1500 to completely stop the problem. Next I will try putting back the larger original images instead of the smaller
ones I made and see how that performs.
Why microsoft couldn't suggest this solution after so many phone calls with them I really don't know.

I believe it's not because of how it's being called in succession, but how soon it's being called on page load. It will only resize the pictures that have been loaded when it's called. If your bandwidth is such that the pictures take a while to load, you will still have problems.
