Sharepoint doability
Hi there,
My company using thousands of excel fiiles to keep product info and other stuff. So every excel has a few worksheets on them.
I am seeking a way to keep excels untouched and use them as a data source. So there will be a form to input data and retrieve it s well.
Is this doable with Sharepoint or should I use SQL for this.

You shouldn't use SharePoint imo.
SharePoint is good as a place to move (as SharePoint lists) Excel files to so that they can be accessed via a browser. (and then delete the Excel files)
It is not particularly good as a storage location (in document libraries) for Excel Files because often these have relationships with other excel files which won't necessarily work when the excel files are stored in doc libs.SP 2010 "FAQ" (mainly useful links):
