Site Date Format
Hi All,
Our SharePoint site is split into several different subsites that facilitate users across the world.
I'm aware that you can change the regional Settings and My Regional Settings, but I want to make it default without the users changing it themselves
Is there anyway the I can change the date format for a subsite to DD-MMM-YYYY to help accomdate all users.
Im getting some complaints about the defaulted USA format. I want a format that is universal to all and that can be easily read.
Thanks in advance.

I think you can make a Site Template, make the required datetime zone settings and then use that template when creating similar subsites.BR, PM

There are a few options that might help you, depending on your scenario.
First of all you could install Language Pack for the specific language that you want to support by default. Then you would use that language pack to create sites off. That would cause not only the dates but all labels to be displayed in non-US language providing
a consistent user experience in the given site. Please note that while you could change the regional settings afterwards, you can't change the language of the site.
Another approach might be creating a feature that would change the regional settings after the site has been created. By stapling the feature to specific/all templates you would provide a default setting in which the site would have a locale other than en-US.
Please note that stapling applies to sites created in the whole Farm and not just under specific Site Collection.
Yet another option is creating a custom Site Definition and inlcuding a Feature that would change the Regional Settings there. While the working is similar to the scenario with stapled Feature, the advantage here is that you can limit resetting the Regional
