Site Structure as a page
Hi All,As you all know the site content and structure will not be visible for all the users. I want to display my Site Content Hierarchy as a web page to all the users (irrespective of what permissions they have) and i don't want to give them Copy and move permissions but to just to navigate throught the lists and libraries ina Tree view. Hope that the question is clear enough.Regards,Chakri

Hi, I think you mean the Treeview navigation option. This is is similar to the tree view in Windows Explorer. Objects shown in the tree view are displayed in a hierarchy view, as follows: * Subsites (if present) * Libraries * Lists * Discussions * Surveys Branches of the tree that contain other objects can be expanded to view those objects. For example, if your site hierarchy is such that the site you are viewing has a subsite that contains another subsite, you can expand the first subsite in the tree view and then go to its subsite. You can navigate down the tree view to the folder level. This is activated by going into Site Actions, Tree View (in the Look and Feel section). Going into that allows you to switch on the Treeview. This then displays that within the Quick Launch area. For more information on this navigational element please see this: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointtechnology/HA101488271033.aspx However, if you wish to display this navigation on its own page you will not be able to because it is tied to the Quick Launch Bar. Therefore, you would have to pop into SharePoint designer and design your own Treeview or use Treeview Web Controls. More information is available here: http://vspug.com/michael/2009/03/15/sharepoint-navigation-treeview-like-navigation/ and here: http://www.sharepoint-tips.com/2006/07/modifying-wss3-tree-navigation-control.html Hope this helps Cheers Geoff
