Hisrujan, In order for usage analysis processing to occur, the following timer jobs must be enabled and must be running successfully: l Usage Analysis (for all applications) l Office SharePoint Usage Analytics Log Import l Office SharePoint Usage Analytics Log Processing Could you please check whether the timer jobs are working properly? If this is not the cause of the issue, please let me know the detailed configuration in the Central Administration > Operations > Usage Analysis Processing and SSP > Office SharePoint Usage Reporting > Usage reporting (if MOSS 2007). Let me know the result if possible. -lambert Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Hi Lambert , I have checked for the timer jobs as mentioned above and everything is working fine . this is a error where few user details are shown up in the reports out of a large number of users logged into the site .Please suggest me as how to go about the same . Can you please confirm if "Office SharePoint Server CEIP Data Collection" job is essential for generating the usage reports . Thanks Srujan.Nsrujan

Is anonymous access enabled for your site? If that is the case, then it will not log the information of the user who are logging in anonymously.-xwindow

Hi there,I spoke to MS and this issue seems to related to a bug in MOSS. The following is the email from the MS consultant Problem description:=================The data in SpUsageWeb.aspx dont match the data in the UsageDetails.aspx page. Cause:=================It is very like a known issue of the Site Usage Report. The symptom is as below: The usage log could be written into 00.log file in previous day folder.Depends on when you did the above operation, the access log may be wrongly written to 00.log file inthe previous day folder.(Folder nameis 2009-MM-DD (Which "DD" could be previous day of today) If you did operation at GMT time Yesterday(For Tokyo time,it is time before AM 9:00),it will write to 00.log file in folder of Yesterday)If you didoperation at GMT Today(For Tokyo time, it is timeafter AM 9:00), it will write to 00.log file in folder of Today. Plan:==================The issue is fixed in the Aprils Service Pack, which is going to be released. We are now testing the Service Pack and will update you once we finish the test. If no exception, I will send you the Service Pack early next week. Then you can try and see if the issue can be fixed by the Service Pack. Additional information:==================The _layouts/usagedetails.aspx page is still available in SharePoint 2007, although there is no link to it in the site settings page. If the Site Usage Report works properly, the data in the usagedetails.aspx should match the data in the SpUsageWeb.aspx.

Hi Murali,in our case we found SP2 fixed the log analysis. However it didn't provide stats for for the time before we installed SP2 (no historic stats). Can you confirm that (now a couple of days later) you are still not getting any/some/sensible stats?Later'ishCraig

Hello, We recently upgraded to MOSS 2007 sp2 with hindi language pack sp2 on Win2003 sp2 box . The site usage analysis worked fine for few days. Then we removed the default upgraded shared services and created new shared services . The usage analysis worked only for one day. Log files are being stored in the 0.0 log files, but these have some unidentified characters. Could somebody find a solution to this issue. Regards,
