Software Request Form SCCM 2007
We understand that with SMS 2003, an user on the domain can request software via web by using a software request web form to have software installed on thier systems.Looking to see if same/similar action can be done for users on a domain that have SCCM installed and need a particular software app that is available for distribution, but only if approved.

Hi,There were no built-in software portal with SMS 2003 so it had to be 3rd. party solution you saw (or perhaps the one from BDD). With ConfigMgr. there is still no self service portal (there are still 3rd. party solutions) - but with service manager and with ConfigMgr. vNext there will be a software self service portal.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

thanks Kent for the quick response. We were hoping, but we can wait. When you state vNext. Are you referring to SCCM R3?

no, I am referring to the next version of ConfigMgr. R3 will not add that feature.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
