I have about 100 machines on my network running Steadystate. Three of those machines keep losing connection to the network so that the student/staff/ and even the administrator login can't log into the network. I have to login to the admin for the machine, remove the network settings, reboot the machine, login to the machine again, reconnect to the network and reboot; Time consuming and frustrating when I have to do it just about everyday. Occasionally this failure doesn't happen and I did have the systems work properly last week but failed again Monday. These computers don't loose the connection when Steadystate is turned off or uninstalled. Any suggestions, fixes or work arounds. These are all Dell machines running XP w/ SP3, 512 meg of ram, 40 gig HD, w/ Intel P4 – 2.8 ghz processors. They were all mirrored from the same ghost.

Hi Henthorn, if the issue also occur on administrator users, I suggest you check the settings in Set Computer Restrictions. You can temporarily disable them and see the result. If the issue still occurs, you can consider other system factors as other restrictions does not affect administator user.Sean Zhu - MSFT
