I have inserted a subreport (which has dataset 2) in the main report(Dataset1). Both are to be joined with InvoiceNumber. In the subreport I have a added a parmeter called invoiceNumber. In the properties under available values for the dataset I choose Dataset1 for value field I choose invoiceNumber. On the other side in the main report under subreport properties under the parameters menu I addd a parameter name"InvoiceNumber" And Value as InvoiceNumber from Dataset1. When I run the report I get the main report but for the subreport I get an error. It states : Data retrieval failed for the subreport, SetlementInvoiceDocument Located at Invoices.settlementDocumentReport.rdlc Please check the log file " What am I doing wrong and where would be the log files. I need to rectify this ASAP. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi Ariccca, From your information, I notice that you are creating the RDLC report in the local mode, this kind of the report is not like reporting service, of course the method of creating a subreport in the main report is different as well.
