Subscription Management
Dear Microsoft,
Please add more robust subscription management tools to Report Manager. I'm working for a company where I would say we are power users of subscriptions and they are nearly impossible to manage because of the limited information that is displayed on
the "subscription summary page." Please add more useful information such as subscription scheduled time with days, the report parameters with values for each subscription, and recipients, with robust sorting abilities, and/or the ability to export the
subscription list for a report to Excel. We have resorted to manually transferring the subscription information for each report into a master spreadsheet so that we have some mechanism for controlling the use and reuse of subscriptions.
The current interface is so useless, rather than adding a new user to an existing subscription, users were creating new subscriptions, which has had a very negative impact on reporting performance. Through analysis we were able to take a report with
152 subscriptions down to 78 subscriptions, with a more robust view into the subscriptions, this situation never would have happened. The amount of time we have invested into managing these subscriptions is rather insane.
So please Microsoft, give us more useful info on the Subscriptions Tab of the report, it's really a management nightmare as is.
Thanks,
Robert
