I wanted to know if there is a certain kind of switch that is compatible with WDS and PXE booting. Or would I have all I need in a unmanaged switch?

Network traffic is network traffic is network traffic -- either the switch properly passes it or it doesn't. The switch really plays no part whatsoever as long as it can pass traffic.
