Sync Rule creation error
Hi,
Never seen this before. I am currently logged on with the account that installed FIM called FIMAdmin.
I open the Portal, and click New Sync Rule icon, type in the new rule name and click Next.
The second page is the Scope page, and when I try select the
'Metaverse resource type" its empty. when I try select the 'external system' its empty (I have an AD MA already in place).
when I try to select the 'external system resource type' its also empty
Never have seen this before - any ideas?
I have tried this from different computers, with the same results.
thanks
SK

I 'reset /noforce' IIS on both Portals, and now when I click on Sync Rules, the error message appears in the window as:
"The FIM Service could not be contacted. Please contact your system administrator."

We have removed NLB - in case this was causing the problem - however even without NLB this is not working...how odd?

We have just learnt that the client is also using NIC teaming...so they will remove it, and hopefully things return to normal :-)
In turn, hoping these are NIC teaming related error in event viewer:

Try opening the FIM MA properties, connect to database and input the password to refresh the schema

ok, this one was rather silly - you need to create the MA first, before anything appears in the FIM Portal.
lesson learned.
