TSMBootStrap.ini file content
The file \SMS\DATA\TSMBOOTSTRAP.INI on my custom boot media has this content:
Code Block
[MediaInfo]MediaType=BootMediaPasswordRequired=falseUnattended=false
Each time I boot a target computer with the boot media, TSM Wizard screen comes up and I need to perform a manual action to get the deployment going. The only advertised task sequence for that computer is mandatory so the deployment ought to be automatic.
When I create a boot media, there is no prompt asking whether I want an unattended install. Using an ISO file editing tool, I modified the TSMBOOTSTRAP.INI file and specified Unattended=true.
This time upon reboot, the OS deployment started automatically ... no wizard prompt.
Is there a supported mechanism/process to tell SCCM to use "Unattended=true" when creating a new boot media?

Unfortunately, there's no mechanism built-in to ConfigMgr to set "Unattended=true" when creating new boot media.

Next logical question; will SCCM 2007 SP1 or R2have a way to customize the "Unattended=" value?

There are no currently plans to add this in SP1 or R2.

I realize this thread is over 3 years old but now that there is the Pre-Stage Installation Media option in R3, is there a way to by-pass the initial Welcome screen so the
Pre-stage imaging process can be fully automated? Currently, you still have to click one button at the Welcome screen even when using a Mandatory Advertisement. This by-pass function occurs when using PXE but why not
at least give us the option to create our boot images to bypass this welcome screen as well? I want to be able to pre-stage hundreds of systems, have them delivered and setup so that all a person has to do is turn the computer on and walk away. Currently,
you still have to sit there for 2 to 3 minutes and wait for the welcome screen just to click one button before it moves on.
I am looking for creative ways of editing the tsmbootstrap.ini with the
Unattended=true but it would have been nice if that option was built-in.
