Target Audiences Missing
I have MOSS 2007 installed in a DEV and QA environment. In DEV, the "Target Audiences" field is available on my Web part properties, but in QA this field is missing. What can I check or toggle on so that this would be available? Thanks!

what I was trying to get at is that audience targeting is only available in MOSS 2007 (standard or enterprise). I just wanted to double check and make sure you had MOSS installed because audience targeting is not available in WSS

Ah, yes ... I understand. It's definitely MOSS 2007 (or at least, I'm fairly certain of it). Just to be sure, I went back at did a new install, and MOSS was all over the install wizard. Still having the problem, though.Oddly enough, the "My Site" link is missing from my site as well, which I know is another feature of MOSS. It's available in the Central Administration console, though, and all of the user rights have been set for "Personal Site" and "Personal Features".For what it's worth, this is a stand-alone server (i.e. not in a Farm), and my site says version 12.0.0.6421.

Yep, it's there. And like my dev and prod environments, I only have a single audience called "All site users".

Hi,
What is your site template in your QA? Is it same as the site template in your DEV? If not, try to create a new site which is same as the site in the DEV, then check the effect.
Try to create a new audience in your SSP, then check the effect.

To display the list or library item to a specific audience, you can also use the Content Query Web Part. The Content Query Web Part allows you to build a query that can filter list and library items.
For more information about targeting content to specific audiences, please refer to the following articles:

Hope this helps.
