Task Sequence issue
Hi,
Im running a task sequence, 1-Remove Symantec 2- Restart Pc, 3- Install new version of Symantec.
I have it working to a fashion.
Basically I want to set a deadline time for the TS to occur say 6pm on a particular date, thus I have created a mandatory assignment for that time, but I want the users to be able to commence the TS before that time if they choose to do so i.e when they
go on lunch or they are away from their desk for a while. The Run Advertised Program feature in the Control Panel only seems to list OSD or Software Distribution, my advertised TS is not listed. Thus the TS will only run at the deadline time and not before.
Am I missing something or can this not be done?
Ant help appreciated.

I "think" it will show up as a OS. Did you make it available before the deadline?

Mandatory adverts never show up in the RAP unless the advert is explicitly set to "Allow users to run the program independently of assignments" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632517.aspx).Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com

Yes, i think that's my problem, i didn't enable "Allow
users to run the program independently of assignments" I'll try enabling that tomorrow and see if it resolves the problem.
Thank you.
