Hi - is there a way to monitor, log and maybe even alert on access to certain SharePoint sites for people outwith the explicit access groups (for example Administrators accessing sensitive site content) ?

What we do is create a blank site on the same Web Application that the monitoring software has access to.

OK, that doesn't sound quite like what I was after... This would be to monitor specific sites and having had a look round maybe Web Analytics is the way but not sure it's sophisticated enough to achieve it.
