USMT, Hardlinking Task Sequence
I was wondering if it would be possible to deploy an image by pre-caching the files first through Config. Manager. I have everything working when the image is pulled directly from the Dist, point. I'm trying to reimage computers across the WAN, with no branch distribution point at the remote site. Is there a way to omit the Config manager cache folder from the "wipe" process, similar to how to does not wipe the USMT folder during the wipe sequence? SYSAdmin

Hello - May be the below article would be useful for keeping the cache folder ? http://blogs.technet.com/b/deploymentguys/archive/2009/07/17/persisting-configmgr-packages-during-a-task-sequence.aspxAnoop C Nair - This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
