Hi All, I have a issue in the SharePoint site. I am unable to upload any of the documents in document library or to any list items (Attaching the documents). Hence only upload is not working. But in the event viewer, I could see the follwoing log when ever I upload, --------------------------------- Event Type: Error Event Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3 Event Category: General Event ID: 28721 Date: 31/07/2012 Time: 12:23:44 User: N/A Computer: CGTSAPP20711 Description: The description for Event ID ( 28721 ) in Source ( Windows SharePoint Services 3 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: #960013: Antivirus scanner timed out.. ----------------------------- Environment : WSS 3.0 There are no specific errors with respect to upload. Hi, How big are the files you are trying to upload? Also, what anti-virus scanner are you using? There is an error pointing to the Antivirus scanner timing out above. Could you disable it and test? Thanks.Kind regards, Kev

Hi, Thanks for your note! I am using a very small text file to upload and using For Front Antivirus security. I have disabled and tested and it is working as expected. I have found the root cause for the issue. The MS Fore Front Antivirus is blocking file being uploaded and on checking by disabling and testing, upload is working as expected. The reason is antivirus is unable to update its virus definitions. On updating the antivirus the upload is working as expected.
