I need a help w.r.t an issue we are facing while accessing the Shared Service Provider in MOSS 2007. Please find the problem details as below : Problem:Unable to create new Share Service Provider. Error displayed while we click the New SSP link (below) "You do not have the correct permissions to perform this task. You must be a member of the local administrators group. For more information, contact your system administrator. " Description: The SQL Server 2008 "DB Server" and MOSS are installed on different servers. We are using a seperate "Named" database instance for MOSS configuration and content Data Base. We are using Admin user to log into MOSS central Admin Site. The same user is having Admin Roles in the database server instance. The SSP and related configurations work fine with the Default instance of the SQL Server but displays access error with named instance. Similar error comes when your DB server instace is Express one We have already tried the below : User is Part of Local Admin Account. DB User Roles for Admin A/c are db Creater, SysAdmin Is there any thing we are missing in the DB roles for the Admin user or Central Admin ? Kindly help us out with the issue. thanks Nikhil

hi Manish It is Domain user Account... Also i am unable to see the Create Extend Web application link at Central Admin thanks Nikhil
