Unable to delete Site Server
I have a site that is running fine. I have a servernamed SERVER1in the DMZ that I've setup with the proper PKI stuff needed, ports, etc. I added the roles needed for IBCMP, MP, and SUP and another for SERVER2 - FSP -- during the installation of those roles two other roles were added: Component Server and Site System.
I want to uninstall all of these roles from SERVER1including the last two that were installed automatically AND uninstall that site system. I am able to delete all of the roles (DP,MP, SUP)that I added except those two that were created automatically. Furthermore, I am unable to uninstall this site system under:
System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name> / Site Settings / Site Systems / <site system name>.
I can't delete: <site system name>
How can I uninstall this system on SERVER1? If I right click on it, there is no option to delete (this is the same for Component Server and Site System -- right click no option to delete).
I have all the appropriate rights.
TIA!

You can't delete a site system until you remove all the roles from it. So, you'd have to delete the MP, SLP, DP, etc. (whatever roles are there) before you can delete the server itself.

Hi Wally-I was able to remove/delete the roles I added - which were SUP, MP, FSP, and DP. However, if I right click on ConfigMgr component server and ConfigMgr site system - there is no option to delete. I assume, if I delete those last two roles, I'll be able to delete the server. How do I delete those last roles that I have no option of deleting?Mike P.S. Great job at MMS!

You can stop and start SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER service. Then it'll give the delete option more quickly. It will eventually cycle and give the option, but I'm not sure how long it actuallytakes to cycle.

I want to say that I have always been able to delete a site system if those were the only two site roles left (ConfigMgr site system and ConfigMgr component server). There is an hourly polling cycle on site component manager, so it may require that time before that option becomes available.
And thanks, MMS was fun, but tiring :-)

Hi,
I've seen this before and in my case it took SCCM 3 days for showing the option.

So its been about 12 hours now....and I'm unable to remove that site server. I have rebooted both my central site, restarted the SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER service and I'm still unable to remove that site server. Any other things I could try? Should it take 36 hours for this to enable? Thanks in advance!

Now, that I have got the MP and other roles removed and the server removed. I want to re-install all those roles again.
All the roles seem to have re-installed except the MP.
