Hi, It seems to be common for people to get stumped in trying to remove their SharePoint Server 2007 installation. This is in no small part due to the fact that the uninstaller simply quits without any message unless you ensure a few things ahead of time. 1. Remove Server From Farm, In Central Admin, Operations tab, Server in farm -- Remove server. You'll probably get an error message after you click remove, since the server isn't able to render the page anymore. 2. Remove Databases, Content DB, Config, Search, SSP, Etc. 3. Remove Web Applications, Use the IIS Management Console, remove all web applications related to the MOSS site. Now you can remove MOSS via add/remove programs.Best Regards, Ammar MCT

Hi Ahmed, thanks for your response. I am planned to uninstall sharepoint because my Central admin is unaccessible to me. There's something happened and i am getting "Page cannot be displayed" error. I tried all the options but nothing works finally planned to uninstall sharepoint itself and do fresh installation. In this scenario what's the right approach? anyoneplease suggest.Munna

Hi, Please try to run SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard again and verify that if you can access the Central admin site. If not, is there any other error logged in ULS logs located in %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Shared\Web server extensions\12\LOGS and application event viewer? Let me know the result. Xue-Mei Chang

if you are still unable to access the central administration page, do 2 things -1> go to each servers on the farm and disconnect from the farm by running the wizard. Once done,2> go to add/remove programs and uninstall Sharepoint from the list. Then reboot the servers. Once that is done, validate wether there is any application pool or website related to sharepoint present in the IIS of those server. If so, delete all the related app pools and websites.Once this is done, you can go ahead and delete all the databases related to the sharepoint farm from the sql server..then you can try re-installing the sharepoint on the machine...hope this helps...
