Hi All , I have a document library which inherits permissions from parent site , I created a new folder and broke inhertiance from document library and added user to the Folder , when users tires to access document library he is getting "Access Denied" but when I provide "Read" access to user on Document library he is able to view the folder . Firstly, what version of SharePoint are you using? On the off-chance youre using 2001 / 2003 item level permissions arent possible. With 2007 (any variety) you can set item level permissions on the folder. You should be able to access these from the permissions option in the drop down menu. Once in here, you can break inheritance and set up a new structure as you need.Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/
