Hi, I want people to be able to upload files, but not be able to view files that other people have uploaded. I have tried to create individual folders for each person for which they can upload, view, delete etc, but not sure if it works as to enable them to view the main page, they have to be given read access and by default can therefore read other documents in other folders. What is the best way to set this up? Any thoughts or ideas much appreciated! Thanks

Lists do have the functionality of specifying permissions where each user can view/edit only items created by them. This feature is not available in document libraries. Custom solution is what you need to reassign permissions. If you want users not to see others documents in the views but ok if someone is smart to create a personal view, you can filter the default view to Created By = [Me] so it always shows documents created by them.Cheers! Dilip
