You don't. WSUS configuration is not part of OSD as OSD assumes a SUP. Why don't you use Software Updates Management in ConfigMgr -- there are a lot of advantages? This being on eof them along with streamlined, unified, cradle-to-grave, single-pane of glass management and reporting. You can use the ZTIUpdates.wsf script from MDT as an example for triggering software updates on a system. This script also sets the WSUS server. The one thing I remember hanging me up on this one at a client was having to cycle the Windows Updates service on the client after setting the WSUS server but before initiating the software updates cycle. I don't remember if the script has that in it or not. An alternate script example for triggering software updates can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa387102(VS.85).aspx. To the best of knowledge, GPO application is suspended during OSD, so you will have to manually set the WSUS server in the registry; this is as simple as setting a couple of registry keys: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708449(WS.10).aspx. Remember to cycle the Windows Update service after setting these and before initiating an update though.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys

Can you provide an example of use for the ZTIUpdates.wsf script from MDT ?

Not sure what you mean by an example. It's just a VBScript that you can run from a task sequence using a command-line task.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys
