Usmt 4 hardlink
Hi all.
I want to use usmt 4 in sccm 2007 with hardlink and OSDStateStorePath with
Variable=\\sharename (file server).
Do i need to add the State Migration Point role ?

ion short, hardlinks AKA in-place are the default out of the box, if you do not specify a store. if you specify a store it is no longer hardlinks. If you add the SMP role there is no need to specify a share

For hardlink it will store the data locally with not need to state migration point

but if you want to share files on server you don't have to make it using hard link you can add state migration point and the place is wherever you want.
