We have had "issues" with our development environment after update 1 and needed to restore to the previous backup. How can i tell what version the portal is if i am unable to get the portal up and running? The service wont start. The database version is 6.Opper ...don't stop.

The trick I've used in the past is to look at the version of the .wsp files below c:\program files\microsoft f..\2010\Portal\ I'm aware that this is'nt 100% waterproof, but I think it will do for more environments.
