After installing the web console I am able to login when on the RMS (where the web console is installed). If I try to login from anyhwere else I get a login failure "You do not have permission to view this directory or page". I get prompted for login and try to login using the same account as I was logged into the RMS with.This is a 2K8 x64 server. I installed the web console with Windows Authentication.Does anyone have any ideas of what could be going on??Thanks.xtiyu32n

I had the same issue you described in my environment. I found a fix from a SCCM blog where they saw the same issue when opening the reporting web console. They likened the issue to installing WSUS on the same server, however this is not the case in my scenario, so I'm not sure what the cause is. Log on to the server as an administrator. Open “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager” console in Administrative Tools. Expand the Websites to Operations Manager 2007 WebConsole Double click on Authentication icon on the middle pane. Click on Windows Authentication and Choose Providers… under Actions pane. Add NTLM if it not listed already and move it to the top. Click OK to close the dialog box. Run IISReset to restart the IIS services in Command prompt (elevated mode). This worked for me. I can't imagine anyone here playing with those settings, so I'm going to guess and say an update must have changed this. But I haven't done any further investigation than that.
