Webpart Error in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Hi All,
I have a web application in which I have created many web parts in it. If I am opening the page with the system account I am able to see the web part properly.
But if i open the site with the local user account or any other domain account it is showing "Cannot Display Web part". I could see the logs as below:
Exception information:
Exception type: WebPartPageUserException
Exception message: One of the properties of the Web Part has an incorrect format. Windows SharePoint Services cannot deserialize the Web Part. Check the format of the properties and try again.
Also, I have checked the permissions for users in the Windows Directory (Log Files,Temp Folders). All the necessary permissions are there. But couldn,t find the user
STS_WPG.
Any help, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for the reply Tom!
I have already gave all the permissions as below
Windows directory %WinDir%\Temp
Administrators – Full
Control
SYSTEM –
Full Control
STS_WPG - Read, Write
Network Service (for a domain controller only) - Read, Write
%WinDir%\system32\logfiles
STS Administrators - Full Control SYSTEM - Full Control
STS_WPG - Read, Write
Network Service (for a domain controller only) - Read, Write
But one thing I couldn't find in my system is STS_WPG users are not there in the users list of LOG FILE directory.
Any help in this regard?
Thanks in Advance.

Hey Maruthu,
It could als be a code error - is it a custom web part - if so - see this article:
http://support.sharepoint.apptix.net/Lists/Shared%20Customer%20Support/DispForm.aspx?ID=704
It could be an issue with the web.config file. There may be some parameters that needed to be changed for the trust level and session variables.
Also, have you tried rebooting the server?
I hope that helps!
