Hi frnds, When i try to save my report it is throwing an error like "Attmpted to read or write the protected memory.This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt". I just viewed the report code in XML.Is this causing the problem? What should i do to removie this error? Thanks in advance.mani

Try closing BIDS and opening your project again... have had the error you're talking about in both BIDS and management studio and closing and reopening has always fixed it for me

Hi, As Josh mentioned, closing and reopening the BIDS should resolve the issue. I too havent found yet a way to resolve without restarting. I've experienced that this happens when you view the XML file while it is opened in the designer. To avoid this error occuring, you may save and close .rdl file in the designer first, then open to see the XML.
