Are you managng this machine from a WSUS server, or a SCE server? The error translates to: 0x80244018 -2145107944 SUS_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_FORBIDDEN Http status 403 - request forbidden For a wSUS server, this is not that common; and indicates a mis-configuration.

Hello out there,Let me give you the "total" 411 of the issue, the big picture, so to speak. As one of the respondents told me correctly, the error code 80244018 does mean Forbidden, as in "You don't have permission to access http://www.xxxxx.com/ on this server". That is the word for word message that comes after the initial "403 Forbidden" message in a tab above. Below the message is this piece of info that I also have had no luck in trying to determine what or who it is: Apache Server at www.xxxxx.com Port 8100. That is the basic situation, but there is more. This only happens when I attempt to open Explorer or go anywhere on the Internet using any search engine that originates on Explorer. The "xxxxx" in the token address can be anything that I attempted to use in any way while in Explorer. It also will not allow me to install any of the automatic Updates that I receive, no matter if they are listed as Important,or Optional or whatever.Through the Windows Helpand Support site, I have tried many things to correct the situation, but nothing worked. I have been to the HTTP website, I have scanned for viruses and other malware using 4 different vendors, I have tried to re-configure my own internet connections and the Explorer settings in various combinations, and have checked out the modem and several other components through the Device Manager, as well as attempting to update drivers, etc. It seems like there should be more, but those are the highlights so far. I don't really know when this started since I gave up on Explorer a couple of months ago because of repeated problems, and went to Mozilla Firefox which is totally unaffected by the whole thing. I wouldn't worry about it except that there are several rather important things that can only be accessed through Explorer.So does anybody out there have any other ideas of what to try or where to go, etc. Believe me I'm just about up for almost anything at this point.
