I don't believe I've done anything that should make it do this, but for the last 3 or 4 days my test VM with Win 10 has been popping-up a full-screen "Activate Windows" Metro screen with one button in it that takes me to PC Settings.

Attempting to activate from there fails.  I have tried entering the Enterprise Product Code, which is the one it shows the last few characters of when it takes me to the PC Settings app.

SFC / DISM don't fix it, though the component store shows as corrupted.

I could, of course, reinstall it afresh, and I may do that as I have nothing I can't redo, but it will take a little time.

Any idea what I can do to stop this thing repeatedly asking for Activation?

Not even one "it does that for me too" or "mine's not doing that" response?  It would be helpful to know if I've got a screwed up installation that I should do over.

Try the following:

1. Open an Administrative command prompt (Windows key+x > A)

2. Type: SLUI 3

3. Enter the product key Microsoft provided for recovery scenarios: PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK

Something's wrong with this install that's causing that not to work.  I can't think of anything I've done that should make it so.

even to me it seems to have a similar behaviour:

Windows 10 EP 10074, installed with the initial key provided by Microsoft and switched to the new key that the last update required, now started to re ask for activation without any way to get rid of it.
