Windows 10 Installation Problems

I have had the Technical Preview installed and working on one of my machines for a while now. After the latest release I decided to put it on another laptop I have however I have been having problems installing (via both booting to the ISO and using the insulation application).

Basically during installation, at first reboot, the computer hangs at the Windows 10 logo (no spinning wheel appears like in my previous install). The ISO works in a VM so I know that isnt the problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Did you perform a clean installation or a upgrade installation? Are there any error messages prompted? Please unplug any external connected device except mouse and keyboard, test the issue again, cause thought most of your apps and devices should work as expected, there still will be exceptions.

If issue persists, please upload the following logs here for troubleshooting

C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setupact.log .
C:\WINDOWS\PANTHER\setuperr.log

I encounter the same problem. And I found some old TechNet posts (Nov, 2014) said it's a known issue from build 9879.

And according to the posts, the installation will proceed after 5 or 6 hours waiting.
