Windows 8.1 deployment

Hi

We are planning to upgrade all client PCs / Desktops from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. Currently we have SCCM 2007 R3 in place to manage all client systems and we never used SCCM for client OS deployments. We are looking for a step-by-step article and guidance for you all and also it will be helpful if we get the ports to be opened with Firewall in order to start the upgrade process

Thanks in advance

Sorry, deploying Windows 8.1 with ConfigMgr 2007 R3 is not supported. You need to be on ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 CU3 or ConfigMgr 2012 R2.

Thanks Johan.

So we will start preparing for SCCM 2012 upgradation. Can you please provide any helping articles / documents that describes SCCM 2007 to 2012 upgradation in co-existance scenario? Because it's better to make sure SCCM 2012 works fine and then migrate the 2007 settings to it.

There are plenty of guides on both TechNet and Windows-noob.com, or buy a book :)
