Hello, We are migrating our Windows XP PCs to Windows 7 using SCCM Task Sequences integrated with MDT 2010 Update 1, USMT 4.0 and hardlinking. It has been mostly working, but have gotten the following failures on 3 PCs this week. When the "Apply Operating System Image" step runs, it fails with error 0x80070091. I can boot with WinPE and do rd /s /q "C:\Documents and Settings" - the directory deletes successfully. Would it be inadvisable to put a Task Sequence Run Command Line step prior to the "Apply Operating System Image" step to do: cmd.exe /c if exist "C:\Documents and Settings" rd /q /s "C:\Documents and Settings" ? Thanks, Terence Durning EDIT: I'm going to try focusing only on the "C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player" folder, I put a script in the start of the Task Sequence that does: dir "C:\Documents and Settings\Flash Player" /s /b /ad | find /i "Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player" > C:\flashplayerfolders.txt.Windows7migration for /f "delims=~" %%a in (C:\flashplayerfolders.txt.Windows7migration) do rd /q /s "%%a" if exist C:\flashplayerfolders.txt.Windows7migration del C:\flashplayerfolders.txt.Windows7migration Now the only problem is finding another PC that it should fail on...

Thanks for this Terrence. I had the exact same issue last night. A file path had a "#" symbol in it under a macromedia folder in a users profile.
