advertised program doesn't install
Hi
I just inherited an SCCM 2007 server and as far as I know it was fully functional. I am trying to roll out a program but even though it's appearing in the advertisements list(and I marked it "mandatory" and "install as soon as possible") and I see no errors
in the report, when I go to the destination PC, I don't see any programs under "Run Advertised Programs" menu in Control Panel. I waited 24 hours but the program didn't install. Can you please help me with the troubleshooting steps on this?
Just to clarify: here's what I did - I edited a previously created package by updating the version of the program to the new version and copying the new executable into the path specified in properties of the package. I distributed the software to the distirbution
point successfully. The clients don't see the advertisements and don't install the program. I see no errors anywhere.
Thanks a lot.

Check your re-run settings you may need to set it the always re-run and create another mandatory assignment date, verify the advertisements not expired, and if you want the users to see it in run-advertised make sure you set the allow users to run independently
of assignments from the interaction tab:

OK, I set it to always re-run and I set it to "Allow users to run the program independently of assignments". It's still not running and it's still not showing up on the client. I feel like I am missing something obvious and simple.

Is the advertisement advertised to a collection the computer is in? you may need to force a policy update on the client machine or wait up to 60 minutes by defaultJustin | http://patchmypc.net | Please remember to mark as helpful/answer if this helped you

How often to the clients refresh the machine policy?
Are the boundaries configured correctly in SCCM?

I forced the update manually but it's still not showing up. Where can I find the logs on the client to see if it's even able to contact the server and see the advertised programs?
Not sure if the boundaries are configured correctly, where do I check?

Check the ContentTransferManager.log and the CAS.log for any errors.
